4. Feature Overview

Key feature introduction

1. This is the first stable version of Potoroo in 2022, suitable for all database tool users
2. The most important functional changes in this version are the completion of data grid editing, BLOB import and export, and form editing support, which have been tested, and have made up for the regret of not being able to edit and submit data in previous versions
3. Originated from GTK official planning, GtkTreeView and GtkCellRenderer related components will be gradually abandoned in future versions, so adjustments have been made to all related components, and they have been migrated to GtkColumnView components
4. Based on the suggestions of the big guys in the independent developer group, some adjustments have been made to the UI and overall coordination, and the goal is to make it look good and be easy to use

To achieve a more productive database tool, Pogobuf has been implementing a series of aggressive version plans since July 2021: UI library upgraded to GTK4、Object "Sponge" New (Features)、Upgrade "Kernel" (ODBC)、 Grid Reborn (DataGrid Refactoring)、Query Builder Refactoring、Table Designer Great Transformation、Import/Export Refactoring、ODBC General Support、Connection Dialog Refresh、Object Search Support、Dialog Refactoring、BLOB Import/Exportand so on, we can see that Pogobuf is growing step by step, from inside to outside, and the functions are becoming more mature.
