[Open Source] A powerful enterprise-grade configuration management platform supporting automatic discovery, data collection, and topology diagrams.

1. Project Overview

neatlogic-cmdb is a powerful enterprise-grade configuration management platform that supports automatic discovery, automatic data collection, topology diagrams, and custom configuration item models.

neatlogic-cmdb is the configuration management module. Combined with neatlogic-autoexec, it enables automatic discovery and data collection. Combined with neatlogic-itsm, it supports modifying configuration items within workflows. Combined with neatlogic-pbc, it supports automatic data delivery to the People's Bank of China. neatlogic-cmdb adopts the design philosophy that "Everything Is a CI" and supports directly converting external data into configuration items for internal CMDB consumption, such as user information and organizational structure information. neatlogic-cmdb cannot be deployed or built independently. For build and deployment instructions, refer to the documentation for neatlogic-itom-all.

Custom Models

Supports custom models and model inheritance.

  • Supports various attribute types, including reference attributes, passwords, attachments, text, numbers, date and time, and expressions.
  • Relationships support bidirectional rules.

Custom Views

Custom views allow users to reorganize data. Users can configure relationships between models or bypass intermediate models to access target models directly, meeting different data consumption requirements.

  • Visual configuration of data views.
  • Additional personalized display effects can be achieved through a small amount of custom code for data views.
  • Visual configuration of topology views.

Configuration Item Transactions

Adopts a transaction design inspired by databases. Configuration item modifications support two-phase commits, separation of modification and activation permissions, transaction recovery, comparison, and other features.

  • Global transaction management makes it easy to identify recently modified configuration items.
  • Complete display of configuration item modification history.

Topology

Supports multiple automatic layout methods, including hierarchical and star layouts.

  • Model Topology
  • Configuration Item Topology
  • Custom View Topology (Similar to configuration item topology, but relationships are generated based on custom views.)

Permissions

In addition to traditional model-based authorization, the system also supports authorizing individual configuration items through rules.

  • Model Permission Settings
  • Authorization by Group

Global Search

  • Quickly search for configuration items using full-text search.

Category

Function Point

Description

1

Model management

Supports dynamic definition of configuration models.

Configuration models support dynamic definitions, including settings for model attributes, relationships, display names, uniqueness rules, validation rules, and attribute and relationship groups.

2

Supports optional model field types.

Attribute settings within configuration models include attribute types, validation rules, and whether configuration data is collected automatically. Common attribute field types include text boxes, numbers, text areas, dropdown lists, dates, times, time ranges, passwords, attachments, tables, expressions, and links.

3

Supports model inheritance relationships.

Supports defining abstract models and model inheritance to simplify the maintenance of configuration model attributes and relationships.

4

Supports definition of model relationship types.

Supports defining model relationship types, including relationship display rules and model relationship groups.

5

Supports model relationship definitions.

Model relationships support upstream and downstream references, self-references, and relationships associated with multiple targets. Both single-select and multi-select association methods are supported, along with uniqueness validation within individual models and across the global scope.

6

Supports applying different validation rules to model attributes.

Model attributes can use different validation rules. In addition to regular expressions, complex rule validation is supported through third-party system calls or custom implementations.

7

Supports combined uniqueness validation across multiple attributes.

Supports combined uniqueness validation across multiple attributes. For example, IP addresses and ports can be validated as a unique combination while allowing duplicate IP addresses and duplicate port numbers individually.

8

Supports comprehensive auditing features.

Provides comprehensive auditing capabilities, recording detailed changes to attributes and relationships.

9

Authorization Management

Grant management or viewing permissions to different roles through authorization settings.

10

Supports defining data compliance rules for model configuration item data.

Supports configuring data compliance checks for model data based on management requirements.

11

Supports automatic data collection frequency settings for models.

Supports configuring automatic data collection frequency and data scope for models.

12

Configuration Item Management

Supports data transactions.

Supports transaction operations on configuration items within models. Data requiring transaction submission permissions can be previewed and reviewed before being committed to the database. Transactions include three operation types: create, update, and delete.

13

Supports multiple data import methods.

Supports configuration page operations, batch imports using downloadable Excel templates, automatic discovery, and API-based operations.

14

Supports data topology visualization.

Supports topology visualization of configuration item data based on relationships defined in models, with configurable display rules.

15

Supports displaying configuration item relationships on detail pages.

Supports displaying configuration item relationships in table or list formats.

16

Supports data-level authorization.

Supports data-level authorization by configuring authorization rules based on configuration item attribute values.

17

Compliance Checks

Compliance checks based on custom rules.

18

Global Search

Full-text search with keyword tokenization.

19

Supports aging and cleanup of configuration relationship data.

For automatically collected relationship data, expiration and cleanup can be configured after a specified period.

20

Group Management

Customize read-only and maintenance permissions for configuration model data, with support for defining conditional rules for configuration items in corresponding models.

21

Configuration Views

Supports custom query views that display attributes and relationships across multiple models.

Supports creating custom query views that display cross-model attributes and relationships based on associations between models.

22

Supports user-configurable and searchable view attributes.

View attributes can be configured by users. All attributes support sorting and can be used as search criteria.

23

Supports multi-level grouping by attributes and total count calculations.

Supports multi-level grouping by attributes and automatically calculates the total number of configuration items returned by the view query.

24

Supports exporting view query results.

View query results can be exported.
