4. Feature Overview
fsr is an operations management and fault self-healing system developed with Python 3 and Django. It integrates asset management, monitoring, and sequential multi-host automated recovery. It can be used for asset management and scheduled tasks, as well as for asynchronously executing predefined actions through remote calls for automated recovery. The monitoring system can integrate with Zabbix, Nagios, and other platforms to send alert notifications to the self-healing system. It is a useful tool for DevOps. It supports agentless monitoring of remote host CPU and memory usage, as well as MySQL and Oracle metrics, making it easy to view historical monitoring data.
Function
- Asset Management: Supports bulk import of asset hosts in Excel and CSV formats.
- Scheduled Tasks
- Built-in URL and Port Monitoring
- Configure webhooks with Prometheus + Alertmanager to integrate fsr for automated fault recovery.
- Classify alerts and trigger custom actions to achieve automated recovery.
- View Alert and Self-Healing History
- Trigger Custom Actions Through the API
- Simply launch the binary monitoring script on the client to monitor remote host CPU, memory, process count, disk usage, network interface traffic, and other metrics through charts, making historical data easy to review and analyze.
- MySQL monitoring includes QPS, TPS, connection count, traffic, IO, KEY BUFFER, and other metrics. MySQL slow query monitoring has also been added.
- Oracle Tablespace Monitoring
- Self-healing supports sequential execution of recovery actions across multiple hosts.
- Python Version of Lepus
5. Tech Stack
Environment Requirements:
Operating System: Unix & Linux platforms
Language: Python 3.6.x
Database: MySQL 5.6
Redis (no specific version requirement)
User Guide:
Fault Self-Healing Configuration
1> System Management Configuration - Configure the email server information and API permission verification. 2> First, configure asset users - Set the account passwords or keys used to connect to remote hosts. 3> Configure asset projects - Set the whitelist for self-healing. Supports bulk import. Note that CSV filenames must not contain Chinese characters. Configure according to client/demo.csv in the project root directory. 4> Configure fault self-healing - Define the actions to execute when alerts are triggered. 5> Configure contacts and contact groups - Set up alert email notifications. 6> Configure monitoring items - Define monitoring targets and the logic for triggering self-healing actions. 7> Third-party log integration: Integrate the code from client/Third-Party Monitoring Software Alert Integration.py in the project root directory into the alert configuration interface scripts of platforms such as Nagios or Zabbix.
