[Open Source] A Brand-New Generative Low-Code Platform: Build Systems with "Zero Code" and Enhance Applications with "Full Code"

1. Project Overview

YoursLC Source-Based Low-Code

Yours means 'belonging to you,' and LC is an abbreviation for Low-Code. Its Chinese name is Source-Based Low-Code. It meets users' needs for high efficiency, low cost, and personalization. YoursLC supports zero-code, low-code, and full-code development. It can improve efficiency dozens of times while allowing unlimited extensibility. A complete inventory management (purchase, sales, and inventory) Demo has been built without code, including data specifications, data write-back, and data retrieval. All these features are implemented without code, and full source code can be generated with one click.

[Data Specifications] Specify data specifications for entry form fields to enable automatic input (assigning values to text boxes) and selection input (configuring data sources for dropdown lists and popup selections). Supported options include automatic numbering, single-column selection, multi-column selection, and tree selection Image [Entry Fields] Entry items in an entry form correspond to fields in the data table and properties in the entity class. Entry fields must be defined before creating an entry form (main table). Image [Custom Entry Form Steps] 1: Create a main table; 2: Add fields to the main table and configure their properties and data specifications; 3: Add subtables to the main table (optional); 4: Create the data table; 5: Configure custom events, data retrieval, page buttons, and other settings; 6: Design the form; 7: Add a menu for the entry form; 8: Regenerate the application and check the runtime results; 9: Generate code and debug and test it (debug mode must be enabled); 10: Modify, test, and publish Image [Custom Events] Customize the AfterAdd, AfterEdit, AfterFinish, and AfterDelete events of the main table, as well as the AfterGridAdd, AfterGridEdit, and AfterGridDel events of the subtable. These events are triggered respectively after an add, edit, or delete operation is completed. You can execute custom SQL statements with parameters or call predefined stored procedures to add, edit, or delete data in database tables, enabling data synchronization and other operations. Image [Data Retrieval] Data retrieval includes three types: 1. Retrieve a single value, such as assigning the product name, unit of measurement, and other values to controls after selecting a product; 2. Retrieve a list of values to populate dropdown selections, enabling features such as data linkage; 3. Automatically retrieve data from other input forms and populate the subtable (update subtable data). Image [Form Design] Image [Data Write-back] Modify input form data that meets specified conditions according to predefined rules and within a designated scope of application. Image [Custom Statistical Reports] Statistical reports can be created in two ways: 1. Based on an input form (view), with report columns sourced from the input form (view) or custom statistical indicators; 2. Using the general method, which allows you to freely configure report cells. Cells can contain custom statistical indicators (parameters) or text. When creating a report based on an input form (view), you need to specify the display columns, query fields, and sorting fields for the report. Steps for creating a statistical report using the general method: 1. Create a new statistical report; 2. Edit rows and columns by setting cells to custom statistical indicators or text (if a statistical indicator contains conditional parameters, assign values to those parameters); 3. Define dynamic rows to enable automatic row generation in the statistical report; 4. Define query parameters (optional); 5. Add a menu item for the statistical report; 6. Enable Publish Mode to preview the results; 7. Generate code and debug/test it (requires enabling Debug Mode). Statistical reports are created based on RDLC reports. You can use the RDLC Report Designer to add various types of charts to data lists. Image [Regenerate] After regeneration, Publish Mode will be enabled automatically. Publish Mode allows the program to run according to the latest settings without replacing the code. Image [Generate Code and Download] After downloading, refer to the instructions to place the files in the required locations, then enable Debug Mode. Debug Mode allows you to use the code debugging features. Image

4. Feature Overview

YoursLC Source-Based Low-Code has the following features:

  • Collaborative Development: Business users can leverage zero-code functionality while developers handle full-code development, reducing communication costs and improving collaboration efficiency.

  • Improved Efficiency: Increase development efficiency by more than 10 times.

  • Unlimited Extensibility: Unlike most low-code tools, our product allows unrestricted customization and extensions.

  • User Control: 100% of the code used to run custom functional modules is open source.

  • Simple and Flexible: Easy to use, with generated code that is easy to understand and modify.

The product is available in two editions: Developer Edition and Release Edition.

  • The Release Edition can run directly on Windows systems and can be used to build web applications (i.e., achieve zero-code development).  The Release Edition does not support source code modification or code debugging. The folder "YoursLC Release Edition - Standalone" contains the Release Edition.

  • The Developer Edition requires Visual Studio 2019 or later. It allows you to build web applications, modify source code, and debug code.

  • In Developer Edition, you can run the program in Publish Mode without replacing any code, using the latest settings to preview the results. Once everything is ready, generate the source code with one click, then enable Debug Mode to debug and modify the code.  This workflow can significantly improve development efficiency.

5. Tech Stack

Software Architecture

Built on .NET 8 MVC + Dapper + LayUI + jQuery, with support for MySQL and SQL Server databases.

Note: The free edition has no restrictions except that some advanced features are unavailable, such as automatic code generation for mobile devices and custom statistical reports. All other features are unrestricted. It is completely free and can be used commercially.
