4. Feature Overview
Warm-Flow is a domestically developed workflow engine featuring a simple, lightweight, fully equipped, and extensible architecture. It supports integrating a workflow designer directly into projects through a JAR package.
-
Simple and Easy to Use: Uses only 7 tables and has a small codebase, making it quick to learn and integrate.
-
Approval Features: Supports approval, rejection, arbitrary transitions, reassignment, termination, countersignature, ticket signing, delegation, adding and removing signers, and mutually exclusive and parallel gateways.
-
Listeners and Process Variables: Supports four types of listeners to handle different scenarios, with flexible extensibility, parameter passing, and dynamic permissions.
-
Process Diagrams: The workflow engine includes a built-in process diagram that can be used without integrating a workflow designer.
-
Workflow Designer: Can be quickly integrated into projects through a JAR package, reducing tedious code migration and adaptation.
-
Conditional Expressions: Includes commonly used expressions and SpEL conditional expressions, with support for custom extensions.
-
Handler Variable Expressions: Includes built-in ${handler} and SpEL-format expressions to accommodate different scenarios, with flexible extensibility.
-
ORM Framework Extensions: Currently supports MyBatis, Mybatis-Plus, Mybatis-Flex, and Jpa. Additional integrations may be provided by the community in the future. Extensions are easy to implement.
-
Database Support: Currently supports MySQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL, with plans to support additional databases, including domestically developed databases.
-
Multi-Tenancy and Soft Deletion: The workflow engine provides its own multi-tenancy and soft deletion implementations, or you can use the corresponding implementations provided by your ORM framework.
-
Supports both Spring and Solon.
-
Compatible with Java 8 and Java 17. Java 11 should theoretically also work.
-
The official team provides a practical project built on ruoyi-vue, which is highly useful.
5. Tech Stack
Preconditions
