1. Project Overview

Cool-Admin (Java Edition) is an open-source and free backend permission management system featuring AI-assisted coding, workflow orchestration, modular architecture, and plugin-based extensibility. It helps developers quickly build backend applications. Visit the official website for more information.

4. Feature Overview
Features
In the AI era, many legacy frameworks can no longer meet modern development requirements. Cool-Admin has developed a series of features to make development simpler, faster, and more efficient.
-
AI Coding: Learn framework-specific coding patterns through fine-tuning large language models, enabling one-click generation of simple features from API endpoints to frontend pages.
-
Workflow Orchestration: Implement features such as intelligent customer service systems through a simple drag-and-drop workflow editor.
-
Modular Architecture: The codebase is modular, clear, and easy to maintain.
-
Plugin-Based Architecture: Extend functionality by installing plugins, such as payment, SMS, and email integrations.
-
Automatic Initialization: Fully automated data management eliminates manual maintenance. Database tables and initial data are automatically generated at startup.
AI Coding + Workflow Orchestration
The framework combines AI large language model fine-tuning and training, helping AI better understand the framework. Some features can be implemented with zero code using only a brief text description. Workflow orchestration is an essential AI development tool. Simply drag and configure components to implement core AI development features.
Rapid Development
With AI-powered automated coding, simple features can be developed without writing code, while complex features require only minimal code configuration. This significantly accelerates software development, enables rapid iteration and experimentation, reduces costs, and improves market competitiveness.
Extension Plugins
Supports plugin-based extensions for rapid feature iteration. Features such as payments, file uploads, and SMS can be dynamically integrated by installing plugins. When a feature is no longer needed or needs to be replaced, simply uninstall and reinstall the relevant plugin. Configuration is kept outside the codebase, keeping the code clean and easy to understand.
5. Tech Stack
Tech Stack
-
Backend: Spring Boot 3, Mybatis-Flex
-
Frontend: Vue 3, Vite, Element-UI, TypeScript
-
Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite (integration in progress), etc.
Run
Environment Requirements
-
Java Graalvm 17+
-
Maven 3.6+
Configuration
Modify the database configuration in src/resources/application-local.yml.
Using MySQL as an example. Support for other databases is in progress...
MySQL (version >= 5.7), with 8.0 recommended. The database will be automatically initialized and populated with data on the first startup.
Start
Note: The project uses the Apt feature of Mybatis-Flex. If you encounter startup errors, run mvn compile first to compile the project.
1. Startup file: src/main/java/com/cool/CoolApplication.java
2. After startup, visit: [http://localhost:8001](http://localhost:8001)
3. If you see the following interface, the application has started successfully. You can then start the frontend project. The database will be initialized automatically. Default username: admin, password: 123456
