An open-source cloud storage-based file hosting system for building your own private or enterprise cloud drive.

1. Project Overview
ZPan is committed to building an unlimited-speed cloud storage system. Therefore, we designed it to allow clients to connect directly to cloud storage.
Currently, ZPan supports all cloud storage platforms compatible with the S3 protocol. You can choose any platform you are familiar with to power ZPan.
2. Open Source License
Licensed under GPL-3.0

4. Feature Overview
How Does It Work?
ZPan is essentially a URL signing server combined with a visual file browser.
Because we use direct links for uploads and downloads, the URLs used by clients for these operations must be signed by the server to ensure security.
To make it easier to manage files uploaded by users, we also need to develop a visual virtual file system for file management.
Features
- Completely independent of server bandwidth limitations
- Supports all cloud storage platforms compatible with the S3 protocol
- Supports file and folder management
- Supports file and folder sharing (accessible without logging in)
- Supports document previews and audio/video playback
- Supports storage quota management for multiple users
- Supports multiple languages
Why Not...?
NextCloud
NextCloud is an excellent cloud storage system and can be considered a pioneer in this field. However, because it was developed relatively early, its architecture is based on local file system storage. This means that if you deploy NextCloud on a server with a bandwidth of just 1 Mbps, the maximum upload and download speeds will also be limited to 1 Mbps. To increase the speed, you must upgrade the server's bandwidth, which can be very expensive.
Of course, some people might point out that NextCloud also supports cloud storage. However, it achieves this by mounting cloud storage as a local disk, which still cannot solve the problem of upload and download speeds being limited by server bandwidth.
Cloudreve
Before developing ZPan, Cloudreve was the only product I found that met my requirements (unlimited upload and download speeds). However, Cloudreve was developed using PHP at the time, and I found its deployment process somewhat cumbersome. So I decided to implement my own solution using Golang. Due to various reasons, the project was put on hold for more than a year. When I resumed ZPan development and had almost finished it, I discovered that Cloudreve had also been rewritten in Golang during that time.
There is no denying that Cloudreve offers more features than ZPan. ZPan intentionally keeps its feature set relatively focused because I have always believed that more features do not necessarily mean a better product. Therefore, if ZPan does not meet your requirements, you can also give Cloudreve a try.
Blue-Eye Cloud Drive
Blue Eye Cloud Drive was also something I discovered early on when searching for cloud drive products. Overall, it met my expectations: simple and easy to use. Unfortunately, it is also a traditional cloud drive. I have communicated with its developer, but they have no plans to support cloud storage.
Z-File
Z-File is an online file directory application that supports various object storage services and local storage. It is designed for individuals to host commonly used tools and downloads, or to serve as a public file repository. It will not be developed to support multiple accounts.
